Introduction

This privacy policy applies to the Zenith iOS application ("App"), developed by Huiping Guo ("Developer"). The App displays real-time information about aircraft in your vicinity using publicly available data.

Information We Collect

The App requests access to your device's GPS location (When In Use) solely to calculate the distance between you and nearby aircraft and to display them on a map centered on your position. Your location data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

The App does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information
• Device identifiers
• Analytics or usage data
• Cookies or tracking identifiers

How We Use Information

Your device location is used exclusively within the App to:

• Query nearby aircraft from the OpenSky Network API
• Calculate and display the distance to each aircraft
• Center the map view on your current position

Third-Party Services

The App communicates with the following external services:

• OpenSky Network (opensky-network.org) — Public API providing real-time aircraft position data. No personal data is sent to this service; only geographic bounding box coordinates derived from your location are used in API requests.
• Flightradar24 (flightradar24.com) — External website opened in the device's browser for detailed flight information. No data is shared with Flightradar24 by the App.

Data Storage & Retention

The App does not maintain any server-side database. Location data is held only in the device's memory during active use and is released when the App is closed. Standard iOS system-level caches may persist briefly but are managed by the operating system.

No Tracking or Analytics

The App does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking mechanisms. We do not profile users or build audience segments.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
